Leadership Team Update

Hello Great Oaks family! We hope you are doing well and enjoying the Spring weather!

Lead Pastor Search

We are continuing our search for our next Senior Pastor. We have had some interviews and discussions with several potential candidates, but as of yet, we have not heard clearly God’s direction to enter into a longer interview process with any of these men.  We continue to sort through candidates as we receive them through our search firm, Slingshot.  Please continue to pray with us as we look for our new Lead Pastor.

Attendance

We continue to see a consistent return to in-person worship at Great Oaks. Our average attendance the last 4 weeks have been 662 in total attendance with 431 being in-person. We are now averaging more individuals worshipping with us in person than online.  We are very excited to see many people returning to worship at Great Oaks, as well as many new guests beginning to make Great Oaks their church home! We are so thankful to all of you who call Great Oaks your church home, whether you attend in-person or online, and we trust that your walk with God is strengthened as you worship with us each week!

Finances

In our first quarter, Great Oaks was within 1% of our budget expenditures. The Administrative Team (A.T.) is very comfortable with our current budget and spending trends for 2021 and anticipates a successful financial year.

Leadership Team Member   In March, Pat DeShon was officially installed as a member of our Leadership Team. We are thankful for his desire to serve in this capacity, and we are confident that God will use Pat to help Great Oaks continue to be a place where many people take their next step toward God!   Mission   The L.T. and Sr. Team have continued to discuss how God wants to use Great Oaks to further impact our region and our world. We firmly believe that God will use Great Oaks beyond our walls to help many more people come into a personal relationship with Him.  Please be in prayer for us as we seek His will in regards to expanding our reach in our community.
Summary

It is our great privilege to serve you, and our Lord, as members of the Leadership Team!  While the responsibility is great, the joy of serving in this capacity is even greater.  To all you who consider Great Oaks your church home, we are thankful for the opportunity to serve you and to lead a church who is faithfully proclaiming the love and truth of Jesus to our community!  We are very excited to see how God will continue to use us to spread His Word to our world!
